Wiltshire Emigration to South America

One of my consuming research interests is emigration from Wiltshire to central and South America during the 19th century. These pages detail my research into the activities of a collateral ancestor which led me to this wider interest in the subject. Here you will also find references to sources of information on the subject and details of a discussion list.

My Revolutionary War Ancestor

Peter ROBERTSON (HENLY); Male descendants born in New Hampshire USA between 1770 and 1790. Peter changed his surname to ROBERTSON when he emigrated to the USA where he married Ismenia SEATON in Amherst, NH. He fought and was wounded in the retreat at Bunker Hill for which he received a pension. I have traced his female descendants to the present day in Ohio and California but I cannot trace descendants of his sons Peter, John and Robert Henly ROBERTSON. Please take a look at my detailed page on Peter Robertson and his adventures.
