The Fishers and Waldrons of Ramsbury and Aldbourne, Wiltshire

The agricultural depression caused several families to emigrate. A descendant of the Waldrond family who lived in Ramsbury decided to emigrate to Tierra del Fuego in Patagonia and to take a band of workers with him. Though the greater number came from Ramsbury several Aldbourne men decided to join the party and amongst them was William George Fisher who was born at Medbourne, near Liddington in 1879. he signed up with the Waldronds in 1896 to be employed on the sheep and cattle ranch called Estancia Rio Cullen in Tierra del Fuego becoming foreman of the estancia.[ From "The Fishers of Aldbourne" C. Newton. WFHS Journal 54 July 1994]

Who were the other farm labourers who joined this party of workers?
